Ben Wallace MP for Wyre and Preston North visits local pharmacy

Community Pharmacy Lancashire invited Wyre and Preston North MP Ben Wallace (pictured above) to visit a local pharmacy to find out more about the role community pharmacies play within our local neighbourhoods. The pharmacy team explained how they support their patients with self-care, minor illnesses, helping people with their medicines, NHS Flu vaccinations, supporting those with long term conditions, and the integral role they have serving their community .

We also discussed the huge potential Pharmacy has in utilising our expertise in terms of reducing NHS pressures in General Practice, Urgent Care settings etc. and the wider NHS network; along with the current challenges posed by the volatility in the supply chain.

Mike Ball from the pharmacy said “It was a pleasure to welcome Ben to the pharmacy. He was really interested to hear what we had to share”
